We’ll encourage you to develop your skills wherever you work in Debenhams. To ensure you get off to the best start we have a great interactive induction programme, which is followed by a number of practical training sessions that support you in learning the core skills needed in stores. If your job demands it, we also provide specialist training in areas such as Visual, Personal Shopper or Lingerie bra fitting. This training will ensure you get the relevant skills to do a great job and offer great customer service.

We use a similar approach for other store roles, such as those in our restaurants and store operations. We train our teams using the skills of store experts, buddies and specialists from across the business.

If you move into a supervisory role you will be supported with a comprehensive toolkit of solutions that help you develop your people management skills as well as expertise in particular product areas.
